This morning when I walked into the fellowship hall there was no Pope to greet me, nor was there an aroma of fresh coffee to slap me in the face. At one point there were a few people heading towards the almighty Bunn tipple burner coffee maker. I locked eyes with Don Blanton and in a calm voice he said, "Don't worry, Amy's making the coffee right now." (For a short moment there was a feel of panic in the room).
I miss Mr. Pope, I miss his "We're talkin big time" hugs and his encouraging comments that we were all "movin' up" (well, most of us). I really miss how he always had fresh coffee for us!
The Pope has left the building, you miss him don't you. Take a moment and pray for Mr. Pope as he has starts this new chapter in his life.
