Who knows, maybe it is an actual species? When I saw it, it sparked a blog thought. I found this little guy at the church by the picnic tables. It seems as if he had emerged from the cocoon prematurely. He still has the body of a worm and the wings of a butterfly. I guess you could call it a "Wormafly".
As I looked at this creature I observed it trying to fly, but couldn't. I immediately thought of God's preparation process. On the way home, I heard something on the radio...
Let that sink in... Ephesians 2:10 says that He has good works prepared for us. What is God preparing you for? The current situation you are in is preparing you for what God has prepared for you - in the future. The problem is that some of us duck out too early, try to fly, and can't get off the ground, much like this "Wormafly". Maybe, if it had stayed in the cocoon a little longer he would have developed wings that would allow him to soar.
Ok, there are a lot of questions. Don't rush through them and miss what God may be trying to say to you, think about each one. There are only four:
Where does God have you?
Why are you there?
Do you think God is still preparing you?
If you bailed now, would you be able to fly to new heights with what God has taught you?
