I twittered in public today...

Don't worry, it's not rude to twitter in public (no matter what your mother taught you), actually it can be quite insightful. Ok, so I've been thinking about posting a blog inviting everyone to twitter for a while, here it is...

• Got a word from God?


• Devotional thought?


• Doing something interesting at the moment?


• Wanna get something off your chest?


• Do you need to vent about something?


• Wanna give God praise for what he just did?


• Did you just see or experience something unbelievable?

Then your gonna want to twitter!! What's twittering???

Twitter is... Ok it's a, uh... Well it's more of a... to be honest with you it's hard to put into words. It is an online community where you post what you are doing throughout the day, one sentence at a time. Actually, your post can't be more then 140 characters, spaces included. YOU DON'T NEED A TEXT PLAN to join twitter, you can "Twit" from your desktop. It helps if you have a text plan, that way when your out and about and lets say you see someone pushing a dog in a wheelchair, you can post it on the spot! You can also send a picture to twitter. For those of you that follow me, you know that I "Twit Pic" way to much (when you get pulled over and twit-pic it, you need counseling).

I say all that to inform you of some pretty awesome technology out there that most people don't know about. Two reasons to join twitter.com:

2. You can keep up with what's going on with people in real time!!

Bottom line, many people are just as confused and scared of twitter as you are. Here's what I can tell you, of the people who were "Twit-O-Skeptical" but were thinking about joining they told me, "That sounds so stupid, why would I want to do that?!" After they joined, and began the world of twitter... they were hooked!! There are almost 20 people at Promise Land that now twitter!
