For the past few weeks I have been travelling through the Minor Prophets for my bible reading. I finished Obadiah yesterday, so that put me at Jonah. Let me say one thing about Jonah... I don't get it!!
- I love chapter one (Run from God, a storm will come).
- I love chapter two (Jonah prayed for God to deliver him, the "fish" puked him up on the beach).
- I love chapter three (An entire city repented and God had mercy. They didn't repent with words - but with deeds [3:10] )
- I don't understand chapter four (coming off the heals of 120,000 people turning to God... 4:1 says, "But it greatly displeased Jonah and he became angry." What the heck Jonah?! I don't understand.)

What makes you happy? Is it some stupid SELFISH thing like a plant? Or is it when something happens that benefits others that makes you happy? Jonah went out to pout, the sun made it extremely uncomfortable for him, and a plant grew that gave him shade - THAT made him happy, extremely happy! Jonah was such a selfish person, his emotions showed it. All he cared about was himself. The only thing that made him happy, was a plant.
What makes you happy?
