There are no "Super Christians"

Tonight I went on a walk with my kids. When we got back Madi decided to dress herself up (and yes, that's a brand new shirt!). She came up to me and said to me, "Dad I look like a rock star!". When I took a picture and showed it to her, she said, "Man, I look good!".

That has nothing to do with this post, I just thought it was funny. Madi said something else tonight that made me think... Tonight we all gathered around the TV to watch The Incredibles on Disney. There came a point in which the superhero mom was crying. Madi turned to me and said, "Dad, even superheroes cry!", as if she was shocked to see it.

Sometimes people in the church see pastors and church leaders as "Super-Christians". They think nothing ever goes wrong and that they are immune to the emotions of discouragement, sadness, fear, and loneliness.

Pastors aren't "Super-Christians". We're people just like everyone else who have made a decision to lead others into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Sometimes it gets tough, sometimes we get discouraged, sometimes... we cry.

Just saying, despite popular belief, there are no "Super-Christians".

I know I've told you this before, but thank you for being "REAL" and for doing what you do. God has used you in my life many times and I thank Him for it. "Super Cristian?" I don't know about all that either, but I do know this...
You are a true "Man of God" and I appreciate and respect you. :-) Don't ever think that we expect to much from you or that we don't get what the Lord is doing through you, in this ministry.
