God's vision for your life

Right before Aaron left he gave me a couple of books, one that I had let him borrow, and one that I hadn't read yet - "Visioneering" by Andy Stanley. This book has a youth camp flavor, finding God's vision for your life and chasing after it!! This stuck out to me...

"Christians, we do not have a right to take our talents, abilities, experiences, opportunities, and education and run off into any direction we please. We lost that right at Calvary. But then, why would we dream of such a thing?God has a vision for your life. What could possibly be more fulfilling than that? At the same time, we have no right to live visionless lives either. If God - think about it - if God has a vision for what you are to do with your allotment of years, you had better get in on it. What a tragedy to miss it. Missing out on God's plan for our lives must be the greatest tragedy this side of eternity."

Remember the dreams God placed in your heart... you don't day dream about it for no reason! God places His vision for our lives inside us. It's our job to follow God and chase the vision He has for us that is way bigger than ourselves! I listened to a song by John Waller today. Here is one of the lines... "I wanna do something so big it's destined to fail without You Lord."

One of my favorite things about youth camp happened on the first night. I sat in on a couple of small groups as each of us met and shared about how God could possibly use us. I was amazed at some of the answers!!

So, in your wildest dreams, how do you think you might be used by God? Find his vision for your life and chase hard after it (for nothing else will ever satisfy)!

p.s. - for those of you who went to camp, "stop drinking salt water!!!"
