Kids Camp... Last Day

Kids camp is officially over... This morning in our wrap up service, many shared what camp meant to them. It was encouraging to hear kid after kid and a few counselors share about this years week of children's camp. I heard many kids say that they want to come back next summer. Counselors got up and thanked everyone for their efforts and were even personally challenged in their relationship with God.

Anytime you put on a camp, the people behind the scenes see the flaws. You see what you want to happen, but rarely attain it. That's what leadership is all about, seeing the way things could be. Seeing that it could have been better if we would have done "this or that". While that's true, your ALWAYS going to say that. Things can always be better. It's good to turn around and see what could have been done, it's also good to hear it from the perspective of the kids and counselors.

While much could have been done better, much was done right. Thanks to everyone who helped make camp enjoyable for the kids! Jace for preaching the word, the puppet team and Cheryl for the show, Holly for the songs, Shawn & Sean for the electrical stuff, Trey and Jared for giving us games, Judy and Alex (and their help) for some seriously GOOD FOOD, Karen for being the camp nurse, and the counselors for all your tiring hard work. Oh and thanks to all those who participated in the stolen the duck for giving us all something to laugh at!

Make sure you make it to church Wednesday night for our celebration service!
