Yesterday we went to a store called Steve & Barry's. I had no idea what kind of store it was, Amber had to tell me. It is a store that hasn't hit much of the south yet. The closest one to Jacksonville is in Tampa. Which explains why they have no Georgia stuff?!?! They do have a lot of Rutgers, Ohio State, and Michigan stuff. Steve and Barry's is a really affordable clothing store. The owners sell their line of clothes for next to nothing, everything in the store was $8.98 (My kind of price.) Ok this isn't a Steve & Barry commercial. Here's why I share it...
Walking thru the store Madi had her blanket. When we went to leave, we didn't have it. We looked all over that store for a 36inch green blanket! All over! Every aisle! Every clothing stand! Amber called me from the car and said, "Just forget it, we need to leave". We had been looking for it for a while. Leaving the store, I said a short prayer out of frustration, "God, show me where that blanket is." I immediately looked to my left and saw a little green blanket on a table. That was nothing profound, but it was a small faith builder. Does God care about a little green blanket? Probably not, but he does care about my trust in Him. That simple, seemingly insignificant prayer, turned out to be quite significant for me! I know everyone has a story like this, why not share it for everyone else. Click on the comments tab at the end of the article and share with us how God answered one of your short prayers.
On a side note:
Today My father-n-law and I busted out the chainsaw to cut down a 100ft tree in the front yard (real man stuff). We were just about finished cutting it up when the chain came loose on the saw. I went to tighten it, and noticed that a 1/2 inch nut was missing on the chainsaw. We looked for a while, then I remembered Steve & Barry's... so I quiclkly prayed,"God show me where it is!" If I was out in the yard right now, I'd still be looking for that nut! I can't confirm it, but I thought I heard Him say, "Kevin I proved myself to you yesterday, do you need it again 24 hours later?!?"
