Providence Blitz...new beginnings!

There were many new beginnings on Friday! First of all, I think in the history of Promise Land student ministry we actually left on time! On this day we were taking a trip down to St. Augustine to help pass out 3000 door hangers for another Church's Christmas Eve Service. Twenty minutes into the trip, I get a phone call from Kaylee Daniels, "Hello?"... the next thing I hear is, "you left me". Yeah that's right we actually left on time! Kaylee was banking on us being there 15 minutes after we said we would go... we weren't. It was a new beginning in the life of Promise Land student ministry. Pulling over at a Starbucks on I-95, I told Kaylee that we'd wait for her there if she wanted to meet us. This is where Luke comes in. When Kaylee pulled up, her brother Luke was in the car. We asked him to come with us. Aaron Caulder found out that Luke had never experienced Starbucks before, so he bought him a Vanilla Bean frappuccino with a shot of espresso. I think Luke had the energy to pass out more flyers than any of us. Wonder what it was?!?

After arriving at Mike Lewis' house we prayed together and headed out the door in teams of two's to pass out the door hangers. It was quite an experience for us. Some gladly welcomed the invitation... other's didn't. Though we didn't quite make it to 3000, we came close. It was kingdom work! Pray for Providence Bible Church on Christmas Eve as they are expecting many people to come out! Who knows, grabbing a door hanger off the front door could be the start of a new beginning for many people (2 Cor 5:17). We pray that it will be!
