Colts, Falcons, Turkey, & Ham

After eating Thanksgiving dinner, My brother-n-law found out online that the Atlanta Falcons were hosting the Indianapolis Colts at 8:15pm that night. We logged onto stubhub.com and found four seats together. What's even greater is that my Dad offered to buy the tickets! We saw a lot of flags that night during the game, but the one that stuck out the most was the one we saw before the game. It was a 300 foot American Flag that covered the entire field as we sang the National Anthem. One thing I'm truly thankful for this year is to be able to live in the greatest country in the world, The United States of America!

Tuesday night after our Thanksgiving service, CJ Smith and I were talking about giving to others to show our thankfulness. He told me that He could see himself buying some groceries for someone in line at Food Lion. He then began to tell me about all the times he had things bought for him when he was in the service. I think we should give our men and women in the service special honor and privileges. We should thank them whenever we get the chance, because this year while we were eating turkey, ham , and cranberry sauce - they were eating their Thanksgiving dinner from a small airtight sealed bag. Then they went on guard, dodging bullets so we could peacefully take the traditional nap while watching football. Yeah, I'd say we need to be thankful for our country and for those who are fighting overseas, so we can enjoy freedom. Hats off to you men and women in the service. I'm thankful for you today!
