"Out on a limb"

A friend told me today that they were trusting God as they ventured into a new area of ministry. He said he felt like he was "out on a limb". I was immediately reminded of something I heard from Dr. Johnny Hunt, "That's where the fruit is!".

I have never seen fruit coming out of the trunk of a tree, where it is most stable & safe. I've always seen it, "out on a limb".

Do you agree or disagree with Dr. Johnny Hunt?

I agree!!! It's when "your out on a limb" that your trusting God. You draw closer to Him in your walk, that's when He shows you things on your life that you need to get rid off. Hence the more fruit.

I totally agree. You have to go out of your way, trusting fully in God that He will take care of you. And if you believe that they He will take you to places you have never been before...out on a limb!

It's easier to "hang on" in the center of the tree because the trunk is thicker - more sturdy. The further you climg out on a limb, the more it sways...the more the thrill to be there because it isnt so safe...you test yourself climbing out further than perched in the "Y" of the tree!
