Pre-camp prayer: Ask, Seek, Knock

Powered by Podbean.com

Tonight was a "pre-camp" message on persistent prayer. Jesus tells us a parable in Luke 11 about a man who was woken up by his friend at midnight looking to borrow some bread for his late night guests. He finally got out of bed and gave him some bread. It wasn't because he was his friend, but because of his persistence!

Haven't you ever bugged your parents until they gave in? As a parent, I must confess that Madi and Lily's persistence gets to me - "occasionally", I give in :-).

That's the way it is with prayer, if we are persistent - God will answer!

Jesus gives us a challenge in verse 10-11, If we ask we will receive, seek we will find, & knock the door will be opened. Next week is all about FAITH - asking, seeking, and finding what the next level of faith us for us individually. Tonight the floor was covered with students who were asking God to speak to them at camp!

AGAIN - Camp is going to be incredible!!! God is going to speak!! This afternoon, I was praying for camp again and asked God for just a glimpse of Himself, for THAT would be enough!

(We finally got a good mic, so our recordings should be a little more clear. Give yourself 20 minutes and listen to tonight's message here)
