A Picture of God

When I preached the message on painting a picture of God, I didn't know how much I'd be dealing with it a week later. I think about it all the time - when I drive (especially when I drive), as I deal with people, as I talk to my wife, and as I go shopping or eat at a restaurant. Everywhere I go I am conscious of the paintbrush I'm holding...

When I got home from church today (after eating a Moe's Home Wrecker), I mowed my yard. As I was mowing, I noticed my old neighbor pulling up to see the house they have been trying to sell. I immediately thought of the message...

  • "Was I a good neighbor?"
  • "Could I have reached out more?"
  • "Should I have extended an invitation to church more?"
  • "What kind of picture of God did I paint for him last year?"
A few people this past week have emailed me or talked to me and told me of the opportunities they have had to paint a picture of God as they have walked through this life. Others have said that they have gone through 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 and inserted their name.

As you have walked through life this week, how have you been able to paint a picture of God?

If your interested in listening to the message online you can listen to it here.
