Crazy Love

For some time now, our college guys have been meeting at Robby Scott's house for a time of intimate discussion of God and His work around us... we like to call it a small group.

We've been going through Francis Chann's book, "Crazy Love". Last night we discussed chapter five. Channology is messing me up!! Here are a few highlights...

  • Churchgoers who are "lukewarm" are not Christians. We will not see them in heaven.

  • The distinction of a genuine Christian is a posture of obedience and surrender, where a person perpetually moves toward Christ.

  • Leftovers are not merely inadequate; from God's point of view, they're evil. Lets stop calling it "a busy schedule", or "bills", or "forgetfulness. It's evil. (Malachi 1:8)

  • No worship is better than apathetic worship (Malachi 1:10)

  • Our greatest fear as individuals and as a church should not be of failure, but of succeeding at things in life that don't really matter.
