Legendary: David

Tonight we continued in our seris on becoming legendary for God. It was different tonight, we had worship family style. I must say I loved the worship. We all pulled together in the sanctuary. As soon as I get the audio, I'll post it. Here are a few highlights from David's life...

  • For most of what we read tonight in the scriptures, David was tending the sheep.

  • David went up against a Dude that stood close to 10 feet tall!

  • I am still amazed at a 9ft 9in peice of PVC pipe standing straight up. Seriously how can a dude be that tall! ( Where did that pipe go? I turned around and it was missing?!?)

  • Lil' Davey got made fun of (1 Sam 17:28), but his older brother Eliab didn't laugh for very long.

The one thing we learned tonight about David was that he became Legendary for God because he was faithful in the little things.

"Little things are often ground

work for legendary things!"

Those little things, such as tending the sheep, fighting a lion, and fighting a bear - prepared David for a legendary battle later on. Stay faithful to God in the little things. It's in following them that you'll find yourself on a path to become legendary for the glory of God!
