Dr. John Whitcomb

Today I will remember for the rest of my life. For those of you who know who John Whitcomb is, you'll know what I am talking about. Dr. John Whitcomb is the leading authority on the subject of creation. He has written a few books on the subject. He is here this week at Word of Life Florida to teach the Bible Institute students about creation. It all started last night when our group got into a discussion on when Satan was created and when he fell in his rebellion against God. I know that he was created as an angel and that he fell... but when? That's gotta be extra biblical revelation. No one knows that! Yah, no one except John Whitcomb! He agreed to meet with us this afternoon and try to answer a few of our questions. I sat across the table and snapped this shot of him with my camera phone, as he explained it to us.



He said that is could have been a matter of weeks before Lucifer was created and when he rebelled against God. The bottom line is, that by the time Satan fell from heaven, Eve had't had any children yet nor had she learned that Animals don't talk, namely a serpent! I don't think that was a very lengthy amount of time. I would love to discuss with you what I learned from Dr. John Whitcomb today about the fall of Satan. I wish I could explain it to you, I can just not in blog form :-)

I will say that I have much respect for a man who knows the Bible so well! Listening to him rattle off verses makes me want to study more. I wish I had a man like Dr. Whitcomb that I would talk to every week about scripture. Who knows maybe Steve Whitcomb will get his doctorate degree one day and then I can have a Dr. Whitcomb to talk theology with every week.
