Sometimes Madi and I pop the tailgate on the truck, sit outside under the stars and just look into the sky. Sometimes we will make cloud shapes (that is something I love to do). Tonight as we sat outside we could see the halfmoon and the clouds passing what seamed to be through it. The temperature was just right, it was so peaceful.
My daughter turned to me and said, "the moon looks like a watermelon." I kind of laughed a little, then turned to her and said, "Can you believe that some people believe that the moon, and the stars, and the clouds just happened; that God didn't make them." She looked at me and said, "I think God forgot to give them a brain". Her words reminded of what Psalms 14:1 says -- "The fool says in his heart, there is no God..." (esv).
Just thought I'd share that with you. I guess she had brain on the brain. This afternoon we were watching some old school Tom and Jerry cartoons together. She had a headache and told me, "I think my brain is broken". It's really funny what kids say sometimes. Tonight my daughter reiterated the truth of Psalms 14:1. Now I am going to finish watching New England embarrass Buffalo. Right now they are winning 56-10!
