Is God Real?!?

Is God real? Last night was the 1st in a series of messages entitled, "Skeptics". Skeptics are everywhere when it comes to Christ. I believe mainly because the church (in general) has given them a reason not to believe, they haven't seen Jesus lived out.

Here are some reasons to believe that God is real...

1.Every effect has a cause

• The universe didn't just appear, something had to happen. "Big Bang" or God just spoke it into existance! (Genesis 1)

2. Every creation has a creator

• God created you through your mother and your father, if you live with them or not isn't the point. You didn't just happen... your were created.

3. Every design has a designer

• Ever notice how intricatley detailed the earth is - everything about the earth, from the weather, to the seasons changing, to animals in the amazon, to insects in the caves of California. It's all has incredible design! That doesn't just happen, God designed it that way! Just the other day I was entering into Target and the sky had kicked up something beautiful with the clouds. The colors were incredible and the way the sun was peircing through was indescribable. Before we went in, I asked my daughter Madi what it reminded her of. We usually like to make cloud shapes together. As I stood there waiting for some kind of animal shape for her to tell me about she simple said, "It makes me think of God". My four year old understands what a lot of "intelligent" people don't, that "The heavens declare the glory of God..." - Psalm 19:1 (esv)

Still yet many don't believe, maybe because they haven't seen Jesus in us. I opened up with a question last night asking who was able to reach out to someone this week. I sat there waiting... out of a group of 50 or 60 only 2 people could share of how they reached out.

Maybe the world is in awe of the sky, but when they look at us the whole thought that "God is real" just doesn't add up. The best evidence of God is a changed life.
